# DIS Alpha Airdrop

The $DIS Alpha Airdrop rewards early contributors to the distribute.ai network who provided real compute power and completed verifiable AI workloads. Eligibility was strictly limited to users who actively ran provider nodes and completed jobs, ensuring authenticity and excluding bots or idle installs. Contributors were segmented by hardware quality, with higher-performance GPU users receiving 80% of the allocation and the rest receiving 20%, all based on a compressed, fairness-focused distribution curve. This marks both a thank-you and a strategic step in aligning the token economy with those who make distributed AI possible.

Please see our [blog post](https://distribute.ai/blog/the-dis-airdrop-alpha-rewarding-real-contributors) for full details on the $DIS Alpha Airdrop.
