# Updating the Extension

How to Update the Chrome Extension:

In order to ensure maximum uptime for optimal efficiency, it is important to update the extension as soon as possible after updates are pushed. We will announce updates on twitter and/or discord.\

Navigate to this URL in your Chrome browser: `chrome://extensions/`

If Developer Mode is not enabled, you are going to want to enable developer mode here:

After the drop down appears with the following 3 options, select "Update".

The extension should now be updated. After you press update, scroll down to the extension and verify the the version number has been updated to the current version.&#x20;
